Bilingual Social Worker – Early Start Assessment, Spanish Required

Role Overview

• Lead Early Start Applicant Assessment
• Contact clients/families to make appointments
• Conduct interviews for home-based assessments
• Design and monitor Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
• Work with families to assess needs and preferences
• Complete Early Start Assessment reports
• Coordinate assessment meetings and necessary documentation
• Empower applicants and families in resource coordination
• Participate in community meetings and other internal meetings

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, or related human services field preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in social work with 1 year of experience working with 0-36 month population required
• 2+ years of experience working with developmentally disabled population
• Interviewing techniques for person-centered thinking
• Knowledge of counseling principles and techniques
• Ability to maintain case records clearly
• Written and oral communication skills
• Basic familiarity with MS Office applications
