Role Overview
- Prepare, manage, and negotiate renewals for all group benefit plans under 50 lives
- Analyze claims experience, plan performance, and rate history
- Recommend plan design modifications and cost-control strategies
- Partner with Account Executives by providing renewal insights
- Present and communicate renewal results clearly to advisors
- Monitor internal systems and tools to ensure renewal information is captured correctly
- Collaborate with internal teams such as underwriting and operations
Requirements
- Fully bilingual (French/English)
- Knowledge of underwriting concepts and principles
- Understanding of current trends in the group benefits industry
- College / University degree or equivalent industry experience
- CEBS Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation or ability to attain within 3 years
- Strong negotiation and conflict-management skills
- Excellent time-management abilities
- Good knowledge of group life and health products and underwriting practices
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency with PC tools including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Sharepoint)
