Work with EPA, Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA, local environmental agencies, as well as private sector clients
Implement scientific and regulatory tasks for projects in order to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations and policies, including NEPA, Endangered Species Act, and Clean Water Act
Use scientific tools to support design of coastal engineering structures, wetlands, dredging programs, coastal resiliency programs, shoreline protection programs, and sediment management programs
Collect data through observations in the field, collect field samples, review laboratory results and/or literature
Use models, statistical tools, and other computer-based tools to generate and analyze data
Review current scientific literature on an ongoing basis to stay abreast of developments in the field
Prepare graphs, charts, and generate reports from synthesized data for project managers
Analyze data to assess the environment, may compare results to establish standards

Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Coastal, Ocean, or Water Resources Engineering, or Environmental / Civil Engineering with a Coastal Emphasis
Must be a rising Junior in your bachelor’s degree program
A Master's degree student is preferred
Working towards an EIT certification
At least one previous related internship preferred but not required
Programming skills desired (MATLAB, Python or similar)
Design skills desired with proficiency in: ArcGIS, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or Google Earth Engine, etc.
