About this role
Role Overview
- Reporting to the Manager, with direction from the Registered Nurse, responsible for providing high quality, individualized basic care activities as identified by the RN
- Performing basic patient care activities while addressing the physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs of the patient
- Observing and reporting patient issues/concerns/problems
- Contributing to the patient care process by assisting the patient in basic living activities
- Supporting emergency procedures and practices
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent, preferred
- Completion of Nursing Assistant course, preferred
- Minimum six months recent experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Current and Valid California Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American heart Association (AHA)
- Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of hire)
- Assault Response Competency (ARC) Training (required within 30 days of hire)
