Reporting to the Manager, with direction from the Registered Nurse, responsible for providing high quality, individualized basic care activities as identified by the RN
Perform duties in a manner that provides for the physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs of the patient
Incorporates cultural and ethnic factors into patient care activities
Demonstrates sound judgment in the implementation and basic nursing assistant aspects of the trans-disciplinary care plan
Communicates effectively in a clear, concise, understandable manner
Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent, preferred
Completion of Nursing Assistant course, preferred
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Minimum six months recent experience in an acute care setting preferred
Valid State of California Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of hire)
Assault Response Competency (ARC) (required within 30 days of hire)
