CNA, Oncology, Full Time Nights

Role Overview

• Reporting to the Manager, with direction from the Registered Nurse, responsible for providing high quality, individualized basic care activities as identified by the RN
• Perform duties in a manner that provides for the physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs of the patient
• Incorporates cultural and ethnic factors into patient care activities
• Demonstrates sound judgment in the implementation and basic nursing assistant aspects of the trans-disciplinary care plan
• Communicates effectively in a clear, concise, understandable manner

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent, preferred
• Completion of Nursing Assistant course, preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Minimum six months recent experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Valid State of California Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of hire)
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) (required within 30 days of hire)
