Budget vs. actual comparisons: Independently carry out and further develop variance analyses to identify performance drivers and optimization potential.
Profitability analyses: Prepare detailed contribution margin accounting and profitability analyses for products, services and customers to support strategic sales decisions.
Cash flow & liquidity: Continuously monitor cash flows, optimize working capital management and prepare accurate liquidity forecasts.
Cost structure analyses: Provide transparent breakdowns of fixed and variable cost components and conduct overhead analyses for the various business areas.
Forecasting & scenarios: Produce rolling forecasts and data-driven "what-if" scenarios (e.g., market fluctuations, price changes) as decision support for management.
KPI reporting: Maintain and enhance our management reporting and digital dashboards to visualize key company metrics (EBIT, ROI etc.).
Operational support: Provide reliable support and mutual holiday and sick-leave cover within the accounting team (posting ongoing transactions, account assignments and assistance with day-to-day operations).
Data quality: Ensure a seamless interface between accounting and controlling to guarantee a rock-solid data basis for your analyses.
Requirements
Successfully completed vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter) and initial relevant experience in controlling.
A classic controlling background (e.g., a business degree with a focus on finance or further training as a certified controller (IHK)) and solid, practical experience in operational accounting.
Experience in preparing and supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings.
Strong affinity for digitalization and continuous optimization of finance processes.
Quick comprehension and the ability to switch effortlessly between strategic analysis tasks and operational administrative work.
