Define and evolve the Android test automation architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and ongoing maintainability;
Design and implement robust automation frameworks using Espresso, UI Automator, and Appium;
Lead integration of tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), with a focus on performance and parallelization;
Structure and manage execution environments using Docker to ensure consistency and reproducibility of tests;
Administer and evolve automation infrastructure on Linux servers, including services and orchestration of test execution;
Define strategies for efficient large-scale execution, including the use of local and cloud device farms (Firebase Test Lab, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack);
Implement collection and analysis of quality, stability, and performance metrics, with dashboards and alerts;
Serve as a technical reference, supporting development and QA teams in adopting automation best practices;
Lead failure analyses, reduce flakiness, and promote continuous improvement of tests;
Ensure tests meet security, accessibility, and Android standards compliance requirements.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience;
Strong experience developing Android applications and tests using Android Studio;
Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Espresso, UI Automator, and Appium;
Strong Python skills for framework development, automation scripts, internal tools, and test orchestration;
Advanced experience defining scalable and resilient test automation architectures;
Extensive experience designing and integrating CI/CD pipelines, including strategies for parallelization and test distribution (sharding);
Experience executing large-scale test campaigns using emulators and physical devices;
Deep knowledge of the Android platform (Activities, Services, Broadcasts, Permissions, Intents);
Experience analyzing logs and performance (logcat, dumpsys, Perfetto, Systrace);
Experience with containerization using Docker for standardization, isolation, and scalability of test environments;
Solid knowledge of Jenkins for creating, maintaining, and optimizing automated pipelines;
Experience administering and managing services on Linux servers (deployment, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning);
Knowledge of observability practices (logs, metrics, alerts) applied to automated testing;
Define standards, best practices, and governance for test automation.
