Role Overview
- Conduct product certification assessments across varied environments, ensuring compliance with BSI’s rigorous certification schemes and Kitemark standards.
- Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the assessment decision.
- Recommend the issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy.
- Maintain overall account responsibility and accountability for nominated accounts to ensure an effective partnership.
- Lead assessment teams as required ensuring that team members are adequately briefed.
- Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, working closely with them.
- Coach colleagues as appropriate especially where those members are inexperienced assessors.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years’ industry experience gained within a product manufacturing environment and with an emphasis on quality management or product certification
- Ideally qualified within an engineering or manufacturing related subject
- Previous experience in product assessment or auditing, against standards
- Can travel frequently across the UK and occasionally within Europe.
- Knowledge of quality management system auditing practices (ISO 9001)
- Lead Auditor 9001 qualification would be a major advantage
