Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery

Role Overview

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients
• Formulate a plan of care, including the discharge plan
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care
• Evaluate the patient's and family's response to care and teaching
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record
• Provide care based on the best evidence available

Requirements

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification is required
• Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations
• Employees must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire if working at certain facilities
