Design and develop network and system architectures and define key capabilities and performance requirements.
Define total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements.
Develop network and system element architecture, design, and interface definitions.
Define network and system implementation approaches and operational concepts.
Develop models and architectural guidelines for current and future network and system development.
Ensure requirements are met and evaluate system performance with the customer.
Interface with users and stakeholders to determine business and technical needs.
Generate high-level requirements based on user needs, cost, schedule, and other constraints.
Perform cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met through manual, software, or hardware solutions while maximizing the use of commercial off-the-shelf and existing components.
Design and develop solutions for application, system administration, and network challenges.
Develop partitioning algorithms and processes to allocate present and future requirements into discrete partitions while minimizing communications between partitions and users.
Provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple ServiceNow platform areas, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant delivery aligned with federal and DoD requirements.
Architect scalable, secure, and compliant ServiceNow solutions across multiple domains and modules.
Serve as the technical Architect for: IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Security Operations (SecOps), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Integrated Risk Management (IRM), App Engine & Automation Engine, CMDB and CSDM.
Design and oversee integrations using Integration Hub, REST APIs, and custom spokes.
Lead platform governance, ensuring alignment with best practices and federal security standards.
Guide developers and administrators on technical design, configuration, and implementation.
Produce and maintain technical design documentation, architectural diagrams, and configuration standards.
Work closely with Program Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to support roadmap planning, backlog refinement, and solution delivery.
Engage with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into architectural blueprints and actionable solutions.
Provide SME-level support for network infrastructure and network hardware.
Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning.
Apply strong knowledge of network protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, and network security.
Diagnose and resolve network issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work collaboratively in team environments and directly with customers.
Work independently with minimal oversight.
Adapt quickly to changing program needs and learn new technologies and products.
Requirements
6+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years of ServiceNow experience.
Experience with ServiceNow architecture, configuration, workflow development, and platform enhancements.
Platform governance establishment and execution.
Evaluating operational and strategic demands against platform capabilities and leading practices.
Translating technical and business requirements into architectural blueprints.
Working directly with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and map requirements to ServiceNow capabilities.
Creating architectural blueprints for federal agencies.
Leading ServiceNow version upgrades.
Deep understanding of overall ServiceNow platform architecture.
Network security, LAN/WAN design, and network infrastructure documentation.
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, CND, or CCNA Security).
