Manager, Nuclear Design

Role Overview

• Lead the Nuclear Design team within the Nuclear Fuels organization.
• Provide technical direction and management for engineering staff.
• Maintain and enforce design basis discipline across group work products.
• Manage ongoing maintenance and configuration control of the core design basis.
• Develop technical statements of work and oversee integration of fuel components.
• Participate in developing and updating company technical standards and practices.
• Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports.

Requirements

• A minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering
• A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible engineering experience
• At least 5 years of lead and/or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with employee conflict resolution, disciplinary protocols, performance reviews
• Proven track record of managing staff from multiple disciplines
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
