Review and analyze drawings and specifications to prepare cost, material, and labor estimates on new projects presented and vetted by the Business Development team
Prepare budgets and quotes for projects of varying sizes, complexity, and type. Work closely with Business Development teams through this process
Prepare conceptual proposals with minimal project information
Provide preconstruction services for projects including estimating of shop drawing milestones, value engineering, constructability, schedule review, maintaining and identifying long-lead items
Lead bid preparation process (in conjunction with Business Development) and consistently meet deadlines for submission
Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers, and architects, and revise pricing as needed
Generate quantity take-offs for various elements including, but not limited to: cabinets, countertops, lighting, plumbing fixtures, flooring, bath accessories, mirrors, etc.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in Commercial Construction.
2+ years of experience as an Estimator, or a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Ability to interact with owners, contractors, designers, and subcontractors to effectively present information and answer questions such as budgets, proposals, bids, value engineering options, etc.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and challenges daily
