Role Overview
- Draft social media content and captions.
- Assist with newsletter development and email content preparation.
- Support creation of graphics using Canva.
- Research and gather content for storytelling initiatives.
- Assist with website updates.
- Schedule social media content.
- Monitor engagement across digital platforms.
- Support maintenance of content calendars.
- Assist with communications support for meetings, trainings, and community events.
- Capture photos and video at events.
- Help develop event recap content and digital assets.
- Support outreach and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Organize photos, videos, and communications assets.
- Draft alt text and accessibility content.
- Conduct media monitoring and research.
- Assist with reporting and administrative communications tasks
Requirements
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, Political Science, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred
- Experience with Canva.
- Photography or video editing experience.
- Interest in social impact, housing, public policy, or community development.
- Experience creating content for social media or student organizations.
