Patient Access Pre-Service Representative

Role Overview

• Pre-register and financially clear patients scheduled for services
• Verify demographics and insurance eligibility
• Create patient estimates and review prior balances
• Communicate and educate patients on insurance benefits
• Collect patient responsibility and develop payment plans

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• 1-2 years of customer service and/or financial-related work experience
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Clear understanding of financial counseling's impact on Revenue Cycle operations
• Demonstrated negotiation skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in PC-based office productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel)
