Tool & Die Maker

Role Overview

• Maintain and sharpen die blocks, die components, and tooling used in the production process
• Use manual and CNC equipment and tool room machinery regularly
• Troubleshoot dies and tooling in presses
• Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
• Adjust dies and tooling components
• Maintain production tooling within quality standards
• Communicate effectively with operators, set-up personnel, and supervisors on all three shifts regarding tooling requirements, and die and equipment status
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area
• Demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints and safely operate tool room machinery
• Have a positive attitude and ability to work with production personnel in troubleshooting die and suggest modifications to improve performance

Requirements

• Basic Math skills
• Basic computer skills
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)
• Familiarity with stamping dies of all types (Preferred)
• Tool Room Work experience is a plus (Preferred)
