Role Overview
- Develop and execute 16VC's global communications strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with leading business and technology journalists
- Manage corporate announcements, investment news, and portfolio communications
- Lead founder positioning and executive communications
- Oversee press releases, media kits, interviews, and speaking opportunities
- Partner with marketing and content teams to ensure consistent messaging
- Manage external PR agencies and communications partners
- Prepare leadership for media interviews and public appearances
- Monitor media coverage and identify proactive storytelling opportunities
- Support reputation management and crisis communications when required
Requirements
- 8+ years in communications, corporate communications, public relations, or media
- Experience working with venture capital, technology, startups, or financial services
- Strong relationships with business and technology media
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience leading strategic communications initiatives
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
