Assist with development of systems, processes & procedures needed to build a best-in-class spare parts management program.
Continuously improve system/equipment availability & performance through verification of spare parts quality against specifications based on engineering drawings & designs.
Managing spare part inventory, movement, receipt & goods issue in SAP MM module.
Inspect & verify part specifications based on engineering drawings & designs.
Develop / continuously improve processes required to coordinate & track part repairs & rebuilds.
Maintain inventory control of repair parts.
Coordinate with vendors & equipment owners for part modifications & repairs.
Monitor, Measure, & Report on Material Management KPI’s to stakeholders.
Accurate accountability of repair & modification spare parts within SAP, FASTPIC & physical storage: reconciliation between systems & processes.
Develop / continuously improve lay-up maintenance program to ensure reliability of parts.
Develop / continuously improve processes to receive, inspect, & stock spare parts for customers.
Lead/ coach/ mentor continuous improvement in the spare parts process.
Operate forklift, hand-truck & other machinery to carry out the movement of materials.
Participation in plant Closedown Team planning & execution.
Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
Execute 5’s principles & follow environmental, health & safety requirements.
Other accountabilities as assigned.
Requirements
Associate’s degree in related field, or equivalent industrial, military or vocational training preferred
5+ years maintenance experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) required
3+ years spare parts inventory management experience required
Knowledgeable in setting up inventory control systems & procedures in a storeroom environment preferred
Knowledgeable in utilizing inventory control systems & procedures in a storeroom environment required
Knowledge of maintenance practices, tools, supplies & parts in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledgeable in fundamentals of materials management excellence preferred
Computer literacy and excellent computer skills to include: SAP & Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
Attention to detail, ability to think critically & sequentially with proven time management skills.
Excellent communication skills preferred.
