Maintains clinical equipment through effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Program (MEMPs) and Denver Health business standards.
Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration, diagnosing and troubleshooting in the repair of basic and complex medical equipment.
Participates in the evaluation and selection of new equipment, accessories, and supplies.
Coordinates special projects and performs technical tasks.
Provides technical guidance and support to other Biomed Technicians levels I and II employees.
Follows instructions, policies, and the core values of Denver Health and exhibits professionalism with integrity in all interactions with customers and staff.
Performs assigned duties in accordance with current policies and procedures, including scheduled maintenance, equipment inspection, installations, troubleshooting and repairs, adjustments, calibrations, and safety testing of all levels of medical equipment.
Requirements
Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology required.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical field and working with medical equipment required.
Two additional years of experience required in lieu of degree.
CBET-Certified Biomedical Technician
AAMI
Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation preferred.
DLR-Colorado Driver's License Class R
DMV
Department of Motor Vehicles required.
