Build Excel-based analyses to evaluate battery storage opportunities across customer, tariff, and operating scenarios in SDG’s active markets
Review utility bills, interval data, load profiles, and demand charges to generate value propositions
Model storage value drivers such as peak shaving, time-of-use savings, demand response, and grid services
Support recommendations on battery size and operating strategy based on customer value, market rules, and technical feasibility
Monitor policy, tariff, incentive, and utility program changes that may affect project economics
Prepare reports and decision materials that summarize assumptions, findings, risks, and recommended next steps.
Partner cross-functionally with Structured Finance, Development, Engineering, and external partners to validate assumptions and prepare decision materials.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or energy-related field.
2+ years of professional experience in an analytical role, including experience with Excel, data analysis, or comparable analytical work.
Experience with battery storage or renewable energy modeling, including basic familiarity with storage system operations.
High attention to detail and strong organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple project workstreams against deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain analysis clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
