As a Syndicus attorney / Legal Counsel (m/f/d) in Commercial Law, you are a strategic partner and advisor to our Operating Companies on all matters of general commercial law.
You support your colleagues in the Operating Companies with clear, pragmatic solutions to help them achieve their business objectives while ensuring balanced risk management.
You contribute early to business decision-making processes, identify opportunities and risks, and translate legal complexity into understandable courses of action.
You review, draft, and negotiate domestic and international contracts with our business partners and advise the Operating Companies on legal issues arising from general commercial law.
You commission and coordinate external counsel in litigation or when handling unusual contract types or specialized legal issues.
You proactively identify new regulatory requirements and, together with colleagues from other central functions, develop strategies to minimize the Operating Companies' risks and avoid legal problems.
You use AI tools and LegalTech applications and apply them to increase efficiency in your daily work.
Requirements
You hold both state law examinations (German First and Second State Exams) with above-average results, or an equivalent foreign legal qualification.
Ideally, you have in-depth knowledge of general commercial law and have gained professional experience in a law firm or the legal department of an internationally active company.
You are proficient with common MS Office applications and have an affinity for AI tools and digital solutions.
You demonstrate high integrity, excellent teamwork, and very good communication skills in German and English.
Your manners are exemplary.
You work independently, purposefully, and precisely, are organized, and have a hands-on mentality.
You communicate clearly, concisely, and appropriately for the audience — you explain complex legal issues in understandable language.
