Role Overview
Perform detailed civil engineering design for land development projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and utility design
Support site feasibility studies, due diligence, and zoning/code compliance reviews for a variety of development projects
Prepare and review design plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, calculations, and engineering reports
Assist with permitting and approvals, coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies and responding to agency comments
Collaborate with project managers, planners, and survey teams to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through construction
Track project progress, manage deliverables, and ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Participate in client, contractor, and municipal meetings, documenting key decisions and follow-up actions
Provide support during construction, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits as needed
Contribute to proposal development, scope definition, and client presentations
Maintain accurate project documentation, budgets, and progress tracking within internal systems
Actively pursue professional development opportunities, with a focus on advancing within land development engineering
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
EIT required, PE preferred or on track
5+ years of experience, with exposure to site design and land development projects
Experience with PADEP permitting processes and coordination is preferred.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and MS Office; HydroCAD or similar stormwater modeling software preferred; HEC-RAS experience is a plus
Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and local permitting processes
Excellent technical communication skills and attention to detail
