- Present analytical findings and recommendations to management
- Mentor new and developing Healthcare Analysts
- Analyze healthcare utilization to identify patterns, variation, and outliers
- Identify and quantify opportunities to reduce medical costs
- Evaluate effectiveness of medical cost reduction initiatives
- Develop tools for market performance comparison
- Provide analysis for network provider performance improvement
- Monitor efficiency of clinical programs
- Support analytics requests from departments
- Conduct root cause analyses of adverse population health outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in healthcare analytics required
- Managed care experience required
- Knowledge of healthcare data including medical and pharmacy claims, EMR data, and demographic data
- Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficient with Transact-SQL, SAS, Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau
