About this role
Role Overview
Overseeing the management, planning, and coordination of departmental activities including accounting operations
Assisting with year-end financial statements and acting as primary liaison with external auditors
Direct and indirect supervision of the Accounting Manager and Operations Manager
Leading the accounting team to achieve overall department objectives
Overseeing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities
Collaborating with CFO and VP of Finance to ensure accurate accounting estimates
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA or MBA highly preferred
Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting experience
At least 7 years in a management or leadership role
Previous financial institution experience highly preferred
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Excellent problem solving and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
