VP, Accounting

Role Overview

• Overseeing the management, planning, and coordination of departmental activities including accounting operations
• Assisting with year-end financial statements and acting as primary liaison with external auditors
• Direct and indirect supervision of the Accounting Manager and Operations Manager
• Leading the accounting team to achieve overall department objectives
• Overseeing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities
• Collaborating with CFO and VP of Finance to ensure accurate accounting estimates

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA or MBA highly preferred
• Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting experience
• At least 7 years in a management or leadership role
• Previous financial institution experience highly preferred
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Excellent problem solving and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
