Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve automobile liability claims.
Review assigned claims and contact the insured and other affected parties.
Set expectations for the claim process and initiate documentation in the claim handling system.
Complete complex coverage analysis and drive fair, timely claim resolutions.
Thoroughly document and complete all claim closure activities in the assigned claims management system.
Handle moderately complex claims involving settling Total Losses and inspecting vehicles.
Determine cause of damage, establish liability, and monitor repairs.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Complete ACG Claim Representative Training Program or demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experience.
In states where an Adjuster’s license is required, must be eligible to acquire a State Adjuster’s license within 90 days of hire.
A valid driver's license is required if conducting in-person inspections or frequent in-person meetings.
Two years of experience or equivalent training in negotiation of claim settlements, securing and evaluating evidence, preparing estimates, and resolving coverage questions.
Advanced knowledge of Essential Insurance Act (Michigan), Fair Trade Practices Act as it relates to claims, subrogation procedures, intercompany arbitration, and negligence law.
