Help to properly classify a client's assets to accelerate depreciation resulting in a lower first-year tax burden
Perform site visits, reconcile construction costs, understand tax depreciation, perform quantity takeoffs, and estimate costs from drawings and physical structures
Create positive team member experiences, which lead to excellent client service and drive revenue and profit for the Firm
Respond to client inquiries, coordinate document requests and site visit scheduling
Travel and perform site visits with client and/or client representative
Work effectively with clients on a national basis and attend client meetings and property inspections
Prepare and review cost segregation study reports
Assist with Estimates of Benefits as needed
Research tax issues and interact frequently with team members
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate or other degree
Must have 2.8 GPA or higher
Relevant work experience preferred (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs) or Bachelor's degree and one to three years related to the construction industry, construction design or cost segregation related experience
Ability to perform engineering take-offs from construction plans including civil, architectural, structural, and MEP
Proficient at Microsoft® Word and Excel
Intermediate knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research is beneficial
Experience with estimating software and construction costs software is preferred
