Installs equipment and associated machinery as required by customer to interface with new or existing production line equipment.
Performs ring-out, reliable controls level calibration, commissioning troubleshooting and acceptance protocol ensuring equipment performs to specification.
Performs PLC and HMI programming logic independently and/or with Engineering for customer equipment installs, repairs and general maintenance.
Span of Equipment product knowledge includes at least four primary categories and can perform job duties equally well during installations, service calls or PM / Audits.
Demonstrate proficient understanding of primary categories of machinery, components, control systems, PLC programs
and overall sub-system interactions of Alliance equipment and can perform PM / Audits.
Trains customer personnel on equipment functions, safety features to include safe working techniques, machine operation, operator interface devices, service requirements, accessibility, spare parts, and use of the operations manual.
Independently travel to customer sites to perform equipment service, installation work, and training
demonstrating a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of customer service.
Requirements
Minimum of High School graduate or G.E.D.
Prefer an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a technical field, including Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Five (5) to Seven (7) years supervising, installing, and maintaining material handling equipment or other industrial machinery.
Strong electrical/mechanical/PLC background.
Strong technical background in industrial equipment.
Excellent mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge to include reading blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings.
Demonstrated proficiency in assembling, servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting electro-mechanical machinery, PLC and HMI automation and hydraulic systems.
Experience with Industrial Sensors (Photo Eyes, Inductive Sensors, etc.), Analog/Digital Positioning (Encoders and Potentiometers), and Variable Frequency Drives.
Advanced knowledge of PLCs and machine language, to include reading ladder logic, uploading and downloading programs to PLC’s and HMI’s, monitor inputs and outputs in programs, and perform basic programming under the guidance of Engineering.
