Communications Specialist

Role Overview

• Lead the planning and delivery of external communications while supporting strategic communication initiatives across the business.
• Work closely with senior leaders to build BioMar's profile and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure communications are clear, engaging, and aligned with the brand.
• Develop and deliver communication strategies that support BioMar Australia's business objectives.
• Create engaging content across digital, social media, website, newsletters and marketing channels.
• Support executive communications including presentations, speeches, briefing papers and strategic messaging.
• Coordinate media relations, public relations activities and reputation management initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with community organisations, industry bodies, Traditional Owners and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate sponsorships, customer events, conferences, site visits and community engagement activities.
• Partner with the Global Marketing team to localise campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
• Measure communication effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to support employee communications and organisational initiatives.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, journalism or a similar communications role.
• Exceptional written communication and editing skills.
• Experience developing content across digital, social media and traditional communication channels.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Experience working within manufacturing, agriculture, aquaculture, food production or another technical or industrial environment.
