About this role
Role Overview
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Canton-based applications using DAML
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging in a DAML-based platform.
- Design and implement DAML models and workflows
- Connect applications to environments, manage day-to-day configuration and operational troubleshooting across dev/test/prod
- Implement integrations using ledger-facing APIs (e.g., JSON API or gRPC-based APIs)
- Developing scalable, fast, robust and simple web-based solutions to solve complex business problems
- Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition phase through implementation
- Keep up to date on emerging capabilities in open source area and identify where and how new capabilities can be applied
- Work closely with Product Management to plan and negotiate iterative development cycles in an Agile environment
- Suggests alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability.
- Contribute to EY’s internal knowledge base on best practices in this full technology area.
- Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead
- Keen sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize problems, analyze and resolve issues.
- Manage the team members by ensuring that the tasks are completed on time.
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of experience in web application development with at least 2 years in Blockchain development
- Experience programming with object oriented and/or declarative languages
- Strong experience in Blockchain (Ethereum/ Canton)
- Canton preferred
- Strong experience in writing smart contracts on Solidity or DAML – DAML preferred
- Experience in Scala, Clojure, Elm
- Basic working knowledge of Canton concepts such as participants, domains, and onboarding/party setup
- Expertise in writing end to end test coverage for DAML contracts
- Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and message queuing systems
- Skills in writing end to end integration with external signatures
- Experience troubleshooting DAML applications
- Proven skill to scale up on new technologies
- Experience in developing REST services
- Highly experienced with back-end programming languages like Node JS
- Experience with developing web-based solutions using HTML 5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript framework like Angular JS, React etc.
- Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB
- Experience using modern software configuration management tools in an automated build environment such as Git, Azure Dev Ops etc.
- Azure/AWS knowledge is required
- Agile development experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to in leading team
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
