Data Engineer (Snowflake, SQL, and DBT experience)

HYR Global Source Inc is seeking a Data Engineer to design and deliver enterprise Snowflake solutions. The role involves building ELT pipelines, implementing modern data architectures, and ensuring data quality and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver enterprise Snowflake solutions, including greenfield implementations
• Build and maintain ELT pipelines using SQL and dbt
• Develop and manage dbt models, tests, and documentation
• Implement modern data architectures, including Medallion, Data Vault, and dimensional modeling
• Apply Snowflake security best practices (RBAC, masking policies, compliance controls)
• Ensure data quality, governance, and performance optimization
• Optimize Snowflake workloads using clustering keys, materialized views, and query tuning
• Support analytics and BI use cases using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Collaborate in Agile environments, leading solution design through deployment

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering/analytics architecture
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Strong experience with dbt (Core or Cloud)
• Advanced SQL skills and ELT pipeline development
• Solid understanding of modern data architectures
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
