Software Engineer

Datavant is a data platform company and the world’s leader in health data exchange. As a Software Engineer III, you will own end-to-end delivery for projects, translating requirements into scalable systems and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of complex backend or full-stack features
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define scope, requirements, and timelines
• Implement solutions that emphasize reliability, scale, security, and performance
• Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and developer tooling
• Mentor junior engineers, such as through design reviews and pair programming

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of software engineering experience, ideally within enterprise SaaS or healthcare tech
• Strong technical depth in distributed systems and API design/development
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and observability tools (DataDog, CloudWatch)
• Proficiency in AWS architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and modern frameworks
• Ability to balance execution and architectural foresight
• Model accountability and ownership in team projects
