The Workforce Data Engineer designs, develops, and validates workforce data models, integrating traditional and AI-augmented approaches to create reliable analytic datasets and metrics for informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced data/information management concepts to resolve complex issues
- Design, develop, and validate workforce data models that integrate traditional and AI-augmented approaches
- Leverage dimensional modeling principles and SSIS-supported data pipelines to integrate data from multiple enterprise sources
- Monitor and validate results, including those generated by AI on platforms such as Power BI/Data Fabric, Databricks, and Tableau Pulse
- Tune inputs, thresholds, and feature selections to ensure accuracy, relevance, and business alignment
- Serve as a liaison with external vendors to evaluate analytic solutions and dashboards for quality and adherence to standards
- Translate complex analytic findings into clear, actionable insights, dashboards, and visualizations for leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in data analytics or data management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting SSIS pipelines for analytic data preparation
- Experience applying Kimball dimensional modeling principles in analytic datasets
- Working knowledge of data warehouse concepts, ETL principles, and analytic data modeling
- Demonstrated ability to validate, interpret, and contextualize analytic outputs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience developing analytic datasets, metrics, and dashboards supporting decision-making
- Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential workforce data
- Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated service orientation skills
