Project Manager II

Symetra is a company focused on sustainable growth and employee well-being, seeking a Project Manager II to oversee medium-risk projects. The role involves ensuring timely delivery within budget, managing project teams, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and deliver quality results that meet Customer expectations
• Develop project structure, detailed schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Assemble resources and manage the project team so that project objectives are delivered within time, scope, quality or budget constraints
• Clearly communicate project status and metrics with all Stakeholders affected by the project as well as Corporate Governance and the Executive Management team
• Actively manage risks, issues and concerns throughout the project lifecycle and employ effective change control processes
• Reviews project deliverables for accuracy and provide assistance and mentoring to others

Requirements:

• Experienced professional with considerable skills and knowledge for the role
• Possesses analytic, technical, and problem-solving skills and abilities
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and deliver quality results that meet Customer expectations
• Develop project structure, detailed schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports
• Assemble resources and manage the project team so that project objectives are delivered within time, scope, quality or budget constraints
• Clearly communicate project status and metrics with all Stakeholders affected by the project as well as Corporate Governance and the Executive Management team

• Minimum Internet Speed: 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload, in alignment with the FCC's definition of 'broadband.'
• Internet Type: Fiber, Cable (e.g., Comcast, Spectrum), or DSL
• Not Permissible: Satellite (e.g., Starlink), cellular broadband (hotspot or otherwise), any other wireless technology, or wired dial-up
