Cloud Monitoring Engineer (PromQL expert)

AMISEQ is seeking a Senior Cloud Monitoring Engineer who is an expert in Prometheus monitoring, particularly in writing PromQL queries. The role involves creating advanced monitoring queries and combining data from different sources to gain insights into system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Write custom monitoring queries to track things like:
• CPU usage
• Memory usage
• Error rates
• Service downtime
• Create very specific and advanced queries — not just basic dashboards
• Combine data from different sources (this is the “joins” part) to find deeper insights
• Knows Prometheus deeply
• Can write complex PromQL queries
• Can combine multiple data sources to detect real problems
• Can build smart alerts and dashboards
• Helps teams quickly find and fix production issues

Requirements:

• Expert in Prometheus monitoring
• Expert in writing PromQL queries
• Ability to write custom monitoring queries to track CPU usage, Memory usage, Error rates, Service downtime
• Ability to create very specific and advanced queries
• Ability to combine data from different sources
• Advanced understanding of Labels
• Advanced understanding of Vector matching
• Advanced understanding of Metric relationships
• Advanced understanding of PromQL operators
• Ability to build smart alerts and dashboards
• Ability to help teams quickly find and fix production issues
• Experience as a senior cloud monitoring engineer
