ANDRITZ is a leader in Pulp & Paper engineering technologies, and they are seeking a Reliability Engineer to provide expert field support to customers. This role involves executing maintenance assessments, performance studies, and enhancing mill reliability and equipment performance within long-term service contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site reliability assessments, equipment inspections, and performance studies
- Analyze equipment conditions, process performance, and failure trends; develop improvement recommendations
- Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of field instrumentation and monitoring systems
- Develop maintenance action plans, shutdown/startup procedures, and overhaul activities
- Support pre-engineering activities related to maintenance reliability upgrades
- Implement new tools and digital technologies to improve maintenance and performance
- Coordinate activities across PMP contract mill locations to meet service-level expectations
- Support instrumentation, automation, and maintenance requirements for long-term mill contracts
- Collaborate with ANDRITZ engineering divisions and mill teams to resolve technical issues
- Develop and deliver high-quality technical reports, presentations, and performance summaries
- Communicate findings professionally and confidently with customer stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of project management experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the Pulp & Paper industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in mill environments and perform technical field inspections
- Ability to perform field inspections, including climbing, standing, and navigating industrial environments
- Strong communication presence; ability to present technical information clearly
- Emotional stability and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Up to 50% travel across North America
- Must be eligible to enter Canada; previous DUI convictions may restrict entry
- Experience with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) preferred
- Reliability engineering and/or maintenance experience strongly preferred
- Planning or maintenance scheduling experience is an asset
