Zillow is a leading real estate platform reimagining how people navigate the market. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead AI-driven product development, focusing on creating innovative experiences that enhance the home buying and renting process.
Responsibilities:
- Lead 0→1 AI products from ambiguity to real-world testing – frame problems, define hypotheses, and drive fast build–measure–learn cycles, creating rapid, functional prototypes and using AI as a power tool to explore multiple experience directions, then using what you learn to sharpen product direction and move faster toward the right decisions
- Design novel agentic experiences that transform today’s linear workflows into native, AI-driven journeys – using planning, tool use, and memory to guide customers, not just answer questions
- Partner deeply with engineers, designers, applied scientists, and researchers to explore solution spaces, co-create prototypes, and iterate quickly based on real customer behavior and feedback
- Own metrics, experimentation, and evaluation for your areas, defining success criteria, instrumenting experiences, designing A/B tests, and combining offline metrics, human-in-the-loop review, and online experiments to understand quality, safety, and business impact
- Drive productionization of successful prototypes, specifying requirements for reliability, observability, latency, cost, and failure modes in close collaboration with engineering leads
- Lead cross-functional alignment and responsible AI practices, pulling teams around a clear vision and roadmap, aligning executives and partner teams on priorities and tradeoffs, and addressing data privacy, bias mitigation, and fair housing considerations as we design, evaluate, and deploy AI experiences
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a product management role leading consumer experiences end-to-end, including multiple new product launches and scaled iterations
- Strong AI product fluency and curiosity about emerging, state-of-the-art tech, with an understanding of modern AI capabilities (especially large language models and agentic patterns like reasoning, planning, tool use, and memory), their limitations, and how to productize them responsibly. You have a track record of using new capabilities to materially define or change product direction or strategy
- Proven 0→1 builder who is deeply customer-centered – comfortable moving from problem framing to live product quickly, leading ambiguous efforts, and shipping iterative prototypes that learn from real usage, while regularly using qualitative and quantitative insights to understand behavior, uncover needs, and translate them into clear product opportunities and requirements
- Hands-on with prototyping, AI tools, data, and experimentation, creating rapid, often functional prototypes; using AI as a power tool to explore experience directions (flows, UX copy, stress tests, lightweight comps); and defining metrics, instrumentation, A/B tests, and human-in-the-loop evaluations to assess AI quality, safety, and impact
- Strategic thinker, roadmap owner, and technically conversant cross-functional leader, capable of defining a vision for your area, connecting it to company strategy, sequencing work to deliver value and mitigate risk, and working with APIs, data pipelines, and reliability/performance constraints while aligning engineers, scientists, designers, researchers, and partner PMs around clear plans and explaining complex ideas in plain language to both executives and technical audiences
- Champion of responsible AI, with experience or strong interest in working through topics such as safety, privacy, bias mitigation, and compliance (ideally including or adjacent to fair housing constraints)
