Confidential company is seeking a relationship-driven, defense-focused Manager, OEM Business Development to lead and expand strategic OEM partnerships across military and legacy aircraft platforms. This role will serve as the primary business interface for key defense OEM accounts, driving growth across long-term sustainment, modernization, and production programs.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary business development lead for assigned defense OEM accounts
- Drive revenue growth across legacy aircraft production, spares, repair, overhaul, and sustainment programs
- Manage and ensure compliance with LTAs, pricing agreements, and contractual deliverables
- Lead formal Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and executive business reviews
- Negotiate contract renewals, pricing updates, escalations, and scope expansions
- Identify sole-source positions, content expansion, obsolescence solutions, and modernization upgrade opportunities
- Develop annual forecasts aligned to budgets, supplier performance, and platform demand signals
- Create and execute strategic account growth plans within CRM/Salesforce
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to protect on-time delivery and margin
- Resolve performance issues impacting cost, quality, or delivery
- Meet or exceed revenue, margin, and KPI targets
Requirements:
- 5+ years of business development, strategic account management, or program leadership in defense aerospace
- Direct experience supporting legacy aircraft, sustainment, MRO, or modernization programs
- Experience interfacing with defense OEMs or primes or suppliers to these entities
- Strong financial acumen with forecasting and margin management capabilities
- Executive presence with the ability to influence at multiple levels within complex OEM organizations
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%
- Experience managing OEM relationships specifically within the defense space
