Blue Water Thinking is a company dedicated to supporting Federal clients, particularly in healthcare transformation initiatives. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the Integrated Healthcare Transformation initiative at the Department of Veterans Affairs, ensuring successful execution and performance of a large-scale program.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between Blue Water Thinking and VHA stakeholders for all contract-related communications and performance matters
- Manage a large-scale program encompassing multiple projects with complex lifecycle budgets and deliverables
- Plan, initiate, execute, monitor, and close out programs aligned with the VA’s mission and strategic goals
- Coordinate SME support and ensure timely delivery of project milestones and contractual obligations
- Oversee risk management, resource allocation, and quality assurance across all project components
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and maintain alignment between technical teams, subject matter experts, and VA leadership
- Track performance metrics and provide regular status updates, reports, and briefings to VHA leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal healthcare regulations and contract requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Project Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience managing programs or projects within a large corporation or government agency
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-project programs with significant budgets and stakeholder engagement
- Strong understanding of program lifecycle management, including planning, execution, and closeout
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent
- MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role
- Experience supporting federal healthcare programs, especially within the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Familiarity with VHA systems, policies, and healthcare delivery models
- Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and contract performance management
- Experience managing healthcare transformation initiatives or enterprise-level change programs
