NTT DATA North America is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with a focus on case management. This role serves as a subject matter expert on data quality and availability, ensuring interoperability of clinical data and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Document data needs by working with stakeholders and test data for validity
- Map clinical data semantically and syntactically to standards for interoperability
- Act as a quality consultant, performing testing and validation of data element mapping
- Test clinical content for proper data modeling, vocabulary, terminology, and code-set standards
- Collaborate with technical teams to perform root cause analysis and remediate data quality issues
- Work with customers to clarify technology needs and map existing business processes
- Design and implement projects requiring systems integration across multiple platforms
- Conduct ROI and financial analyses to support project prioritization
- Drive improvement activities to achieve departmental and organizational goals
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and apply to business processes
- Provide subject matter expertise on Health Ministry processes and policies
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions
- Monitor task assignments for schedule, scope, and quality compliance
- Escalate unresolved process and project issues
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in healthcare data analysis and interoperability
- Expertise in healthcare terminologies and code sets (SNOMED CTTM, LOINC, ICD9-10, CPT4/HCPCS, RxNorm, CVX)
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Understanding of data in EMRs and experience navigating EMR systems
- Knowledge of ambulatory and acute clinical workflows and information systems
- Familiarity with ONC Interoperability Standards, U.S. Core Data for Interoperability, and ONC Certification Rules
- Experience with HL7 standards, CDA, and FHIR
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a health-related field (e.g., social work, human services, public health, nursing, epidemiology, informatics, bioinformatics)
- Knowledge and experience with case management and/or utilization review workflows
- Strong critical thinking, independent work capability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
