Manual QA Engineer

BackOps AI is transforming supply chain operations with agentic AI solutions that automate complex workflows. They are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of their products by collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve overall product quality and deliver a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requirements and create clear, well-structured test cases and test plans
• Validate new features and ensure readiness for production releases
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
• Identify, document, and track defects, and verify fixes
• Support release sign-off by providing clear testing results and quality recommendations
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, best practices, and testing standards

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual software testing
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and QA best practices
• Confident knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing
• Basic understanding of CI tools and modern software development practices
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray)
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, Bugzilla)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Proactive approach to identifying risks and improving product quality
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience testing AI agents or AI-driven systems
• Basic knowledge of Python or Java
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and workflows
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
