About this role
RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES is seeking an experienced I&C Cabinet and Chassis Designer to join their Engineering & Technology team supporting safety-related systems within Nuclear Power Plants. The role involves designing and implementing structures for electronic hardware and requires strong problem-solving abilities and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, control system chassis, and cabinets used in Nuclear Power Plants
- Create and implement supporting structures for mounting I&C electronic hardware
- Perform analysis and testing to ensure systems meet performance standards and safety regulations
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation including design specifications, reports, and manuals
- Provide maintenance support and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure continuous and efficient system operations
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with applicable industry codes and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, civil, and testing engineers
- Utilize engineering software tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor for design and analysis tasks
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and project teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience
- Strong experience in 3D CAD modeling
- Experience with coding conventions, unit testing, and integration testing of control cabinets and chassis
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- AutoCAD experience
- Inventor experience
- Experience understanding and applying coding standards to deliver required functionality
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
