Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Health and Safety Engineer who will act as a subject matter expert in occupational health and safety engineering for AI training initiatives. The role involves reviewing safety documentation, providing feedback on AI outputs, and communicating safety concepts effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert in occupational health and safety engineering for AI training initiatives
- Review and annotate real-world safety scenarios and documentation to improve AI understanding
- Provide expert feedback on AI outputs to ensure alignment with safety standards and compliance
- Identify gaps in health and safety knowledge and recommend actionable improvements
- Communicate complex safety concepts clearly through written and verbal inputs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations (excluding mining safety)
- Proven experience applying safety engineering principles in professional environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting
