OSI Engineering is seeking a Reliability Engineer with expertise in electrical engineering and board-level hardware knowledge. The role involves supporting PCB-level validation, reliability testing, and electrical failure analysis for complex hardware systems while collaborating with design, reliability, and test teams to improve board durability and identify failure mechanisms.
Responsibilities:
- Design and validate Logic Boards, PCB boards for electrical reliability and performance
- Lead detailed failure analysis and debug of board-level issues across multiple systems
- Develop and execute board-level reliability and qualification test strategies
- Ability to review schematics and PCB layouts; recommend design changes for reliability improvements
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits and high-speed signal interfaces
- Contribute to hardware bring-up and integration efforts
- Document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
Requirements:
- 3–6 years of experience in board-level hardware validation and reliability
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering; MS/PhD preferred
- Hands-on experience with PCB design and debug
- Familiarity with high-speed buses (e.g. USB, PCIe, I2C), signal integrity, and semiconductor packaging
- Expertise in failure analysis methods, including microscopy and diagnostic tools
- Knowledge in consumer electronics, data center hardware, or high-reliability environments
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS/PhD preferred)
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Remote work in PST or CST time zones preferable
