Licensed Traffic Engineer – Traffic Impact Studies

Olsson is an engineering and design firm focused on improving communities through innovative solutions. As a Licensed Traffic Engineer, you will lead traffic impact studies and engage with clients and regulatory agencies to enhance transportation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead traffic impact analyses for data center developments, including trip generation, traffic modeling, and capacity analysis
• Prepare technical reports for permitting, development approvals, and transportation planning
• Design and evaluate roadway improvements, intersection design, and access management using Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, and VISSIM
• Collaborate with civil engineers, transportation planners, clients, and regulatory agencies to develop traffic mitigation strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 4–10 years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or traffic impact studies
• Proficiency in traffic analysis software: Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
• Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to clients and agencies
• Experience with data center projects, industrial developments, or large-scale commercial projects
