The Public Relations & Content Marketing Specialist will develop and execute strategies to boost brand presence in the U.S. market, create engaging content, and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute public relations and content strategies with a focus on the U.S. market
- Research and write content for the Zoocasa Market Insights blog
- Work with media partners to grow brand presence online across Canada and the United States
- Craft a range of content including data-driven blog articles, website copy, pitches, newsletter copy, and more
- Collect, analyze, and verify U.S. and Canadian real estate market data for the internal team and consumers
- Assist junior team members in defining and executing the methodology of data-driven articles
- Provide editorial support including fact-checking, correcting spelling and grammatical errors, and ensuring all content reflects Zoocasa’s brand voice
- Research industry trends to assist in the development of comprehensive PR and content strategies aligned with overall business goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists across the U.S. and Canada
- Compile media lists and assist with editorial planning as needed
- Write and distribute pitches that are informative and engaging
- Respond to media inquiries in a timely manner
- Translate complex, data-driven content into clear media briefs and collaborate one-on-one with spokespeople to prepare them for media opportunities
- Track and analyze metrics related to PR and content to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Leverage AI and infographics to provide compelling imagery and data to accompany the written content
- Keep on top of news and industry trends and adapt content and PR strategies based on changes in the market
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, media/public relations, and/or journalism
- Strong familiarity with the Canadian and U.S. media landscape, including key national, regional, and trade publications, with proven experience pitching stories to Canadian and U.S. media outlets
- Experience communicating data through visualizations (e.g. tables, graphs, infographics, etc.) and hands-on knowledge of design tools such as Figma and Canva
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to tell a clear, compelling story from start to finish using concise, impactful language
