Finance Project Manager

USA Rare Earth, Inc. is on a mission to become a leading supplier of critical materials for the green energy and technology revolution. The Finance Project Manager will lead cross-functional financial initiatives to improve financial insight, streamline processes, and align with strategic business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage and monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial reports
• Track project spend and provide actionable insight to stakeholders
• Lead end‑to‑end financial projects including process automation, reporting enhancements, integrations, and compliance initiatives
• Develop plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, cost, and schedule expectations
• Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and cost‑benefit analyses to support project decisions and business cases
• Partner with FP&A, Accounting, IT, Procurement, and business units to align financial projects with corporate strategy
• Monitor financial performance of projects, assessing ROI, budget adherence, risk and long‑term financial impact
• Serve as liaison between finance teams and cross‑functional partners
• Communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership through presentations and dashboards
• Facilitate meetings and decision‑making sessions to ensure alignment and accountability
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, implement best practices, and improve data quality and integrity
• Support compliance initiatives with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
• Define project governance frameworks and standardized practices within the finance organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or financial operations
• Proven experience managing cross‑functional projects
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
