Head of Product Design

ApartmentIQ is a profitable, growth-stage company that builds industry-leading martech and data products for the rentals industry. As the Head of Product Design, you will drive the UX strategy and vision for the product portfolio, leading a team of product designers and ensuring exceptional design aligns with business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and drive the overall experience design vision aligned with company goals, target audiences, and the product roadmap for ApartmentIQ
• Own the design system, along with a plan for evolutionary implementation to bring the vision to reality over time
• Collaborate with product and engineering to prioritize and spec out new features
• Work directly with engineering to ensure a feature gets built, balancing your vision, technical feasibility, and user value
• Design new features all the way from concept to finalized pixels
• Conduct user research to gain deep insights into user behavior, needs, and pain points. Utilize findings to inform and validate design decisions

Requirements:

• You have 8+ years of UX product design with a portfolio showcasing the impact of your work on the business
• You have experience working on a small design team and 'doing it all'
• You enjoy going deep on both UX and UI work
• You're a clear communicator and enjoy working closely with partners across teams, particularly in engineering
• You've invested in your craft and have experience with data visualization and interaction design
• Experience mentoring and providing guidance to other designers
