OSI Engineering is seeking a Reliability Engineer with strong programming and data analysis capabilities to support hardware validation, modeling, and automation efforts. The role involves developing reliability test plans, automating testing procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product durability through advanced statistical modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute reliability test plans; analyze results using Python and/or MATLAB
- Automate testing procedures and build tools to detect failure patterns and performance degradation
- Translate engineering models into robust and reusable code for hardware reliability evaluation
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and quality teams to integrate test data into design cycles
- Research failure mechanisms and model reliability trends across multiple product lines
- Build internal tools and dashboards for test data visualization and reporting
- Generate clear documentation and recommendations based on data insights
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering or hardware validation
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python (scientific and data processing libraries)
- Experience with automation and scripting for reliability test environments
- Understanding of embedded systems, hardware interfaces, and test instrumentation
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling of failure data
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Background in Mechanical or Materials Engineering; MS/PhD preferred
- BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- MS/PhD preferred
- Remote (PST or CST time zones preferable)
