ERG is a research and consulting firm that provides a wide range of support to federal, state, and commercial clients. They are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer or Scientist to oversee environmental site assessment and remediation projects, providing senior-level management and guidance on various regulatory programs.
Responsibilities:
- Direct medium to large scale complex projects to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule and quality
- Write and review technical documents, reports and engineering designs including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), cleanup alternatives analyses, remediation plans and work plans
- Review Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs) and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) to ensure logical and efficient sampling is conducted for site characterization
- Interpret engineering, geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites to evaluate and design/optimize multi-media remediation systems, including developing strategy, rationale and cost estimates
- Manage and train junior and mid-level staff to facilitate growth
- Assist with recruitment of environmental site assessment and site remediation staff to expand project teams
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation is required
- Brownfields, CERCLA, RCRA Corrective Action and/or state VRP experience
- Proven project manager with ability to manage multiple projects and subcontractors on time and on budget
- Knowledgeable in current and emerging remedial technologies with a preference for candidates with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) experience
- Ability to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- 40-hour HAZWOPER Certified
- Be able to carry 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms
