Deepgram is the leading platform in the Voice AI economy, offering real-time APIs for speech-to-text and text-to-speech services. They are seeking an Outbound Sales Development Representative to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth by creating sales opportunities and collaborating with various teams to build a strong sales pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our Partnerships team, Account Executives, and your fellow SDRs to build a strong sales pipeline of new logos, striving to exceed quarterly sales targets
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (especially Sales Ops and Sales Engineers) to ensure sales effectiveness
- Have a depth of understanding regarding customer needs in the ASR space, competition, and Deepgram products to be able to fully articulate our value proposition
- Research companies to find new speech recognition use cases and opportunities in the market
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Empathy and a unique ability to understand customer needs
- Strong organizational and exceptional time-management skills due to reaching out to many different companies every day
- Ability to deliver results to our customers and the Deepgram team
- Prior sales experience, especially selling a technical product to technical decision makers
- Experience prospecting companies that fit an ideal customer profile and understanding their business
- Consistently overachieved against sales targets in past experiences
