UP Talent Group is partnering with a start-up focused on transforming pharmacy practice through innovative technology and services. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to identify potential pharmacy customers, conduct outbound prospecting, and collaborate with the sales team to generate leads and develop outreach strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential pharmacy customers, including independent pharmacies, regional chains, and pharmacy groups
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and LinkedIn to generate qualified leads
- Qualify inbound leads and schedule product demonstrations for the sales team
- Build and maintain a pipeline of pharmacy prospects using strategic outreach and follow-up
- Collaborate with sales representatives to develop territory-specific outreach strategies
- Articulate the company value proposition and educate prospects on clinical service solutions
- Track all prospecting activities, lead status, and appointments in the CRM system
- Attend industry events and trade shows to network and generate leads
- Research pharmacy industry trends and competitive landscape to refine messaging
- Meet or exceed monthly quotas for qualified appointments and pipeline generation
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of Business Development Representative /Sales Development Representative experience or demonstrated success in outbound sales, prospecting, or customer-facing roles
- Strong interest in healthcare, pharmacy, or technology sales
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage decision-makers over the phone and email
- Self-motivated with a competitive drive to exceed goals
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and objection handling
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience prospecting to pharmacies
- Familiarity with sales development tools (Outreach, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, etc.)
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations or clinical services
- Experience in a quota-carrying role
